Using the School Calendar

Step 1: Open the Calendar

Open the school calendar link provided by your school in your web browser. You will see a weekly calendar view showing Monday to Sunday.

When you first visit, no events will be displayed. This is normal — the calendar requires you to select at least one filter before events appear.

Step 2: Select Your Filters

On the left-hand side of the page you will find the filter panel. This is how you choose which events to display. The filters are grouped into sections:

  • Schools — If your school has multiple sites (e.g. a prep school and a senior school), select the one your child attends. Use Select All to see events across all sites.
  • Categories — Filter by event type such as your child’s year group, exams, music, drama, house events, or parents’ evenings. Select the categories most relevant to you.
  • Sports Fixtures — Filter by individual sports such as rugby, hockey, cricket, or tennis. Tick the sports your child plays to see match dates and fixtures.
  • Co-Curricular — Filter by clubs, societies, and after-school activities your child is involved in.

Tick the boxes next to the items you want to see. You can select as many or as few as you like. Events matching your selections will appear in the calendar view immediately.

Step 3: Change the Calendar View

Use the buttons along the top of the calendar to switch between views:

  • Today — Jump to the current date
  • Day — View a single day in detail
  • Week — View the full week at a glance (this is the default)
  • Month — View an overview of the entire month

Use the left and right arrows next to the date heading to move to the previous or next period.

Step 4: Search for Events

Click Search in the top navigation bar to find a specific event by keyword. Type the name of an event, sport, or activity and the calendar will show matching results.

Step 5: Sync to Your Personal Calendar

You can subscribe to the school calendar so that events appear automatically in your personal calendar app (Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, etc.).

  1. Click Calendar Sync in the top navigation bar.
  2. Choose one of two options:
    • Filtered Calendar — Syncs only the events matching your current filter selections. This is recommended so your personal calendar stays relevant and uncluttered.
    • Entire Calendar — Syncs all school events regardless of filters.
  3. Click the sync link provided. Your calendar app should open and ask you to confirm the subscription.

On Android: Copy the webcal URL from the dialog, open Google Calendar, go to Settings > Add calendar > From URL, and paste the link.

Once subscribed, events will update automatically as the school publishes changes.
